Ray of Hope - 88th Draw

It is possible there were those who had low scores at the time of Draw #78 but increased their scores later, but the tiebreaker considers the profile creation date, not the date their scores were updated. So that should explain some of these discrepancies.

I think mine is a unique case. My spouse has Masters in Computer Applications, but no work experience. I have 10+ years of work experience in Software Industry but only Bachelors in Engineer (Not Computer, but Material Science related). Not sure how we equate that to the Quebec PNP requirements :)

This is good information. Atleast we now know what are the options. Also doesn't Quebec require French language skills?

That doesn't sound good for all of us from outside Canada. The good thing is my NOC is Software based and probably I will be able to get the certification once I contact the certifying agency mentioned against my NOC. Not sure if it is going to be the same for everyone.

Had this question for SK PNP. My NOC (2173) is in the "in-demand" list. Show proof of Professional Status or Licensure (for regulated occupations or those with professional certification standards in Canada and/or Saskatchewan) if required for your occupation. Please see the SINP In-Demand...

Agree with this. Also learning a new language can never hurt. Especially when hunting for a job in IT Sector. If you have projects based on France or Canada or other French speaking areas, that could give you a leg up.

Even better. 2 years will lose me 10 points, but net gain should be around 35-40 in that case. With my current 429 score (if I don't get an Ontario NOI), 450-460 should net me an invite I hope.

This is what I'm planning to do. That additional 30 points look very juicy, even if I have to spend a couple of years learning it to get to the B2 level

I have a question. For applicants from outside Canada and, who have an express entry profile and belong to ICT (Software Engineer like myself) and have registered with the Job Bank, is it possible to get Job Offer and LMIA? Do companies really hire from the Job Bank? Just want to know what my...

This may or may not have changed. I have seen people with NOC different from those listed above getting NOI from Ontario. So this could've been a one-off thing, though it certainly doesn't hurt to be in one of these NOCs.

Most provinces require you to either have a relative living in that province, or complete your studies from that province, or have a job offer / working in that province or were born in that province (some kind of connection to that province - take Manitoba for instance). However, Ontario does...
