SINP Confusion - Computer Science Engineer Allowed?

The requirement does state very clearly "Computer Science engineering programs will not be considered". I don't think they are looking for engineers per se otherwise they wouldn't have explicitly mentioned it. Unfortunately, I don't think I can apply for this being CSE engineer. But, I am yet...

    CRS < 420; Australia Thoughts?

Hi Folks, So, I am currently at CRS 416 and I am preparing for diploma course in India. As I wait in the unknown, I am thinking of applying to Australia as a backup. Both countries have good opportunities for me but since I have North America experience, I wanted to move to Canada. I am...

Ray of Hope - 119th Draw

I don't think anyone here can predict the score. People can make a reasonable assumption. You have a good score so be hopeful.

Ray of Hope - 119th Draw

LOL. Sometimes, I really question the type of people applying to Canada. It is becoming difficult to differentiate between being a troll and being stupid.

Ray of Hope - 119th Draw

Bro, you could try for SINP (occupation in demand list) but I think they have mentioned that CSE engineering programs are not going to be considered (in case you have one). Not sure how strictly it is enforced.

Ray of Hope - 119th Draw

I could be wrong but maybe there are a lot of people with that NOC code and that decreases the possibility of OINP invite. I am myself with NOC code 0213 which I feel is over-represented.

Ray of Hope - 119th Draw

I hear you but I think the point of the thread is to be optimistic. No one knows what the future holds. I mean, I am at 416 and I am not feeling miserable. I am doing great in my career in India but I have my personal reasons for relocation to Canada. The people in this thread don't need a...

Ray of Hope - 119th Draw

Somehow, I don't understand why do they restrict foreign experience to only 3 years and not give points for say 5, 10 or even 15.

Ray of Hope - 119th Draw

Good to know you are enjoying life, my friend. Have you gathered any sense of how tough the job market is especially in Consulting and Technology? Maybe once you are settled in, you can share your experience with us?

Totally agree with you buddy. My post was for "that group" who feel entitled and privileged to say anything just because they have made it :)

Ray of Hope - 119th Draw

From my research, anywhere between 10 months to 2 years. It depends on three things: 1) The amount of effort you want to put into it on a daily basis (1-2 hrs) 2) The price you are willing to pay (i.e. sacrifice your evenings/nights after work/studies) 3) Your passion and determination to...

Ray of Hope - 119th Draw

That is right. It is very easy to spread "gyaan" when one is on the other side of the fence. Only the ones who have struggled to improve profiles (such as taking IELTS multiple times, doing a second degree, learning French etc.) know the pain it takes to become successful.

Ray of Hope - 119th Draw

That is something I am thinking as well. I am 33 years old working as a Manager in a tier 2 management consulting company. I am already on the partner track and will become partner/MD in 3-4 years. As I just switched to a different firm they may not send me to their Canada office soon. I am...

Ray of Hope - 119th Draw

Actually, for someone like me (416), I was kind of demotivated by seeing people having such high scores. I felt good for them but my hopes started to go down. That's when my wife said to not lose hope and work even harder. We have a 10-month old daughter; my wife happily takes up most of the...

Ray of Hope - 119th Draw

I cant even imagine what you would be going through bro. Sometimes life seems so challenging and other times unfair. I truly hope you get the best in life. One question - did you try for Australia? I have some reasons to choose Canada but are you too dead set on Canada?

Ray of Hope - 119th Draw

I just want to share my perspective. I stand at 416 right now even with CLB 9 due to my age (33) and my education (only B.Tech). I am now trying to learn French and looking for 1 year diploma course. To all the people between 430 and 460 – Yes, the last draw was painful but trust me there are...
