thanks for replying to me. were you pass requested? My worry is the fact that they are holding the passport too long. I assumed visa would be stamped in the passport within 2 weeks. It has been almost 2 months

how do you calculate 48 day? from the day you applied? or from the day you sent your passport?

The same here. Class started Jan 8th passport submitted Dec 4th Turkey office nothing yet. It's been over a month.
