I did my test on Sep. 6th and I sent them my expired passport photos plus translation. It seems, based on you timeline, that it will take some time to hear from them. I applied on Oct. 16, 2017. I wish all of us good luck.

OMG! 10 months and you did not receive any update? I am IP since Feb. 11th and I will get crazy particularly when some people from MArch got their process done.
