I have heard nothing yet other than 'it will go to Paris' on the sponsorship letter. However I am suspecting it will go to Guangzhou instead because our details are pretty much the same as the person who opened this thread, including principal applicant country.

Hi, The sponsorship approval letter is from Jan 5, 2021. It says that the file will be transferred to Paris (no other communication about VO other than the sponsorship letter). As per sartajsyed details above, it took them about one month for their status to change to 'application received'...

Thanks for the details... So basically the same for us except that Ecas has not changed to 'Application received' yet for the principal applicant. It still says 'in process'. I agree it is indeed a very slow process... I hope you hear something soon from Guangzhou!

According to the spreadsheets there are many PPRs issued from Ottawa to outlanders on the same day (Dec 31, for applications spreading from Mar to May). Either it's a spreadsheet glitch, or Ottawa is processing in batches now. I wonder why they would do that... Where is the passport mailed to...
