Sorry for asking the same question twice but I didn't get a reply last time. How long do LVO applicants often have to wait after getting the pre-arrival letter?

I am one of the ones unlucky enough to be stuck with the London visa office. I wish you luck and hope that the Vienna office is more efficient than its London counterpart.

I'm curious how long it has taken for other people to get further updates after receiving the pre-arrival services letter. So far, I got the pre-arrival services letter a week ago but no other changes since January.

Typically Canadian embassies take Canadian holidays off and I don't see why it would be any different for visa offices. So yes, it would slow things down.

I just checked in today and found pre-arrival services sitting in my inbox. It's a good day!

I also had a change today. The line on GCKey about documents changed from "the requested documents have been provided" (or something like that) to "not applicable". This is such a big change that I don't know what to do with myself. /s

Updates like this are appreciated. WhatsApp, like Google, is blocked in China so I'm unable to check that. I know my way around the Google block because I can access that service through my computer but I'd have to fix the troubles that I'm experiencing on my phone to do the same for WhatsApp...

This is the second time I hear about photos being required later in the process but I have never seen any official documentation about this. What are these photos? I submitted some photos with the application as outlined in the checklist. Does it have something to do with those?

Don't hold your breath. You, like me, are waiting for the background check stage in LVO. The most recent applicant to move onto that stage in London was a couple days ago and that applicant only applied on August 23rd. We might have to wait another couple of months.
