Just wanted to let everyone know because this may be the case for you too - I completed my telephone landing on Dec 11 and I received my PR card this morning! They told me it would take 60 days but received it in less than a month.

If it helps, I didn't receive a confirmation of my interview date and time after I accepted. They just called. One of the questions before accepting your interview is if you've received your CoPR - that could change whether they call or not.

If you're from a country that doesn't require a visa to enter Canada then they may not ask for your passport so that could be one of the reasons

I sent my passport and I was in Canada. If you are from a country that requires a visa to enter Canada e.g. India, they will ask you to send passport and give you a single entry visa to do a landing if you choose to do that.

That's correct, the day my CoPR and passport were delivered to me I received an email from CIC about the phone interview. I'm guessing they can track CoPR delivery and have automated emails going out. Also I don't know if they are offering everyone this right now because the email started with...

I just completed this process over phone. Very quick and easy - they just verify information on CoPR and make you sign and then tell you how long till you get PR. You have to mail the CoPR copies back to them after signing so that they can sign and send it back. Great to see them doing this!

Slightly off-topic, (inland CEC) after receiving your passport with PR visa approved, how long till you receive PR card? Or does that come back with passport and visa? Looking to travel for work in January
