From my personal experience, i do not know if this is true. I applied for my PR on September 8 207. By October 31st, I had my passport request in hand.

I used the term approved to mean that on MyCIC the status was updated to approved and information about the counterfoil was on there.

Hey Leo, They approved mine on November 23rd and just shipped it out today. Be wary of the current timelines.

Hey Patrick. Victor is right. They do not email you unless you have established prior communication with them. In my case, it was because I had emailed regarding a flight I gotta catch.

Yes! They emailed me because I had mentioned to them my flight pretty much when I submitted my passport.

UPDATE: Just got an email from CIC about them mailing out my passport today (but the tracking number isn't activated yet). Flying out on Saturday. Here's to hoping it comes to me on time.
