I applied for citizenship in January and applied for PR card renewal in March as I had to travel. According to my personal experience I received my renewed PR card within 3months and shortly after my citizenship application was completed.

I applied in January 2018 and have my oath ceremony on September 4th.

Yes you can. I believe I read it somewhere on the CIC website that validity of the PR card doesn't matter when you apply for the citizenship. My driver's license and PR card were both about to expire when I had sent in my application and I had no issue whatsoever. Processing has been completed...

Hello all. I had my citizenship today. Scored 19/20. Test was easy but make sure to read the book couple of times and do online practice test. Interview lasted for 5 minutes and all I was asked to confirm was my address and work. Was told should receive an invite for oath ceremony in 1-2 months...
