It takes 4 weeks now (from the date they received your passport but not the date it was delivered to Ottawa since it would only be received by CIC after several days your passport was mailed to Ottawa). when did you call them? Yesterday afternoon? I called them this afternoon and they told me mine was still to be printed. My status also changed on 24th (did you receive e-mail for status change on 24th or you checked it yourself? my status changed on 24th but I received e-mail notification on 25th).

e-mail them. But basically no use as they told me pre-arranged flight doesn't count as situations where application can be expedited.

They also told you that your passport was waiting to printed today? Oh, that means my situation is not abnormal. Originally take status change to be printing, but now realize those are two different things.

I called them again. Told me that it was still in the queue for printing (status change doesn't mean printing has been done!). But basically they would mail it next day when the printing has been done. So just having to check up with them on a daily basis.

What do you mean by "received by CiC"? Delivered at Ottawa doesn't mean received by CIC. My passport was delivered on Nov 7th but received by CiC on Nov 15th. Status update on 24th, but the visa has not been printed out yet. So don't expect three weeks from the date when your passport was...

My status was also changed on Nov 24th. But they told me the visa had not been printed out yet. Did you hear anything from them?

I am in the same situation. Having a flight on 7th and my status changed on 24th. But they just told me that the passport had not been stamped despite the status change...Just mailed them to send my passport back even without printing. Hoping to get a reply. So frustrated.

Just called them. They told me that the change of status (from submitted to approved) doesn't mean visa has been printed out. My status changed on Nov 24th but the visa hasn't been printed yet. So frustrated, feel I am going to miss my flight on 7th.

I think you are fine. I have flight booked for Dec 7th. I assume I will get my passport on Dec 5th. It now usually takes them 10 days to mail the passport after it has been stamped.

That is not what I mean. If your passport has been stamped (just waiting to be dispatched), you should have a status change (which happens after they have received your passport). I mailed my passport on Nov 4th and my status changed yesterday.

You can check your application online and see if the status has been changed from "submitted" to "approved".

Finally, the status has changed to "approved". Will I be able to get it back before Dec 6th?
