Called IRCC again this evening, the agent said same as last time. My file is at Ottawa and background checks are in progress. What does it mean? Is comprehensive security screening part of background checks? Appreciate a reply, thanks!

I received same reply Regarding my GCMS notes. The 3rd party service is used suggested a surge in notes requests and said that majority of the notes r being delayed. What was your experience? Did you get your PR?

Not yet. Still waiting and don't even know what's happening anymore. The entire process is undecipherable to me

Submitted on Feb 18th. Waiting ever since, no updates so far except from a msg from Ottawa stating "additional verification"

I got the same exact reply from Ottawa on Aug 21st. 18th Feb AOR and the wait doesn't seem to end anytime soon

Folks who were in SS, did their response from VO suggested "additional verification"? That's the response I got from Ottawa last night

Did u get PPR mail after 170 days of AOR or after your "additional verification" msg from IRCC.. I received"additional verification" msg yesterday from Ottawa

I emailed Ralph last week and got a reply that my criminality was done, Eligibility and security are yet to initiate. GCMS notes were okay as well. VO is Ottawa. AOR Feb 18. I'm very confused as to what's happening

Thanks for the reply. Notes I received on Aug 21st showed no movement after April when the agent noted all well. Heard security screening is a longggg process? What's your status, PPR/no communication?

I got the same reply on my webform query.. "Your file is currently under review and requires additional verifications. As a result, the assessment period will be outside of our posted processing times." I am so confused as to what's happening.. ordered GCMS notes and got the notes in August but...
