Depends on your location i.e. the local citizenship centre handling your application. Calgary sends email. Not sure about other cities.

Exactly. My status did not change to DM till about 5weeks after passing test, and i am not from the middle east.

Nothing can really be predicted when it comes to citizenship application. Just apply and be patient. I have also seen someone on this forum that got oath while still in-process. He had completed his test though.

If i get an oath invite like you, i would not care if my ecas goes to DM or not.

If ecas shows ip, that means he did not get a DM.

I do not think that is any cause for concern but i might be wrong though. Did test yesterday in Calgary and only wife got DM today, still in-process for me and my son. Hopefully, someone with a family application with an idea or knowledge of how DM works for family application can shed light on...
