In some cases they wait until the check is done then they invite you for test. In others like mine they called me for test early but the check hasn't come yet. My timeline: File received May04/17 Started processing june12/17 Test date: august17/17 Still waiting for decision made and oath date

They always do background check. The one they did for permanent residence has expired. They have to do a new one especially if you went outside canada. It takes 3-5 months for the check I am waiting for my oath date. Nothing yet. Passed test on August 17-17.. I want to travel so the officer sai

It depends on your case. The oath doesn't take long. It is the background check that they are always waiting for.. Average Case is 7 to 11 months now.
