    I agree with a tiny exception. Vancity ran my American Credit Report and based on that we got a great mortgage and I got a low interest unsecured credit card. So even tho you start over credit wise some banks will pull credit report from other countries.... at least from US

    Yes! 3.4% which I feel is great rate!! I had great US credit score and my husband’s Canada credit score is great too which helped.

    My and my husband’s Canadian bank used my US credit report when we secured a mortgage last month. Once I got my Social Insurance number I gave it to them but they still used my US credit history..... which luckily is good.

    If your an American Citizen just cross over.... maybe do a bit of shopping or such then come back in presenting your COPR and docs. I crossed at Peace Arch in September... it was quick and the border people were great!!
