We ordered our notes a couple of weeks ago to hopefully shed some light on our file progress. We were transferred to Rome in June, medical approved in July. Our file should be beyond simple. True test on delays without reason.

People would need more information to help. Is the person living in Canada a born citizen or permanent resident? Where does the fiance reside? Country?

The most recent person to receive an AOR for January app was received on the 16th of January. But some from the first week in January are also still waiting....in some kind of order but often they are random. If you have not heard anything by 60 days Give them a call.

4-5 months??? From Italy as well?? We only sent in our application last month ì. My husband is coming from Italy. We are assuming at some point our file will be transferred to Rome.

Each separate official document needs to be stamped by a certified translator. This is usually included in their translation fee. We paid $60 Canadian total here in Canada for the translation of his birth certificate, family booklet and national id. Hope this helps

You can also use a International drivers license if you have one as you second piece of ID. It is what we used along with my husbands passport. No translation needed for either.
