Yes, my status on the tracker changed yesterday. Now it's "Your passport has been printed and mailed. We're mailing it to you by Canada Post. Your tracking number is ****."

I applied in person at the Passport Office on Queenston road, Hamilton today. Overall, it was a hassle-free experience. Went in without an appointment at 9 AM and was out of the office by 10 AM.

Hello guys, just an FYI in case anyone needs to book an appointment for passport surrender in advance. There are lot of slots available at the BLS website right now. https://www.blsindia-canada.com/appointmentbls/appointment.php

The fees for the surrender and OCI process is an outright cashgrab. I can't imagine that processing these applications can be so expensive.
