Have received a letter of authorization, but it expires before we are able to travel - is it wise to ask for another extension now or later or at all?

Thanks for the soonest answer. Appreciate that. 1. How did you request another letter? Through webform or email? Could you please share the details of that process? 2. How your extension date is October 2021? Were your medicals done in April 2020? 3. For the first option, only re-medical is...

Have received a letter of authorization, but it expires before we are able to travel - is it wise to ask for another extension now or later or at all?

Hi, I’m in same situation. My family’s CoPRs and visas were expired in Oct 2020, and then, in Feb 2021, they received authorization letters to travel before April 4th 2021. But there are still no flights from/to our country, so my family won’t be able to make it on time. What were your next...

PR sponsorship for child born outside Canada to permanent resident parents

Thank you @canuck78 for the response. That is helpful. 1. I know I won't have any issues if my child is born in Canada and I will stay there. The issue comes when I would like to travel back to my country ABC, then I will have to get a tourist visa, which is extremely hard to get. That's why...

PR sponsorship for child born outside Canada to permanent resident parents

Hi all, Thanks for all your valuable inputs here. Have few questions. 1. I know that a child born in Canada gets Canadian citizenship. But, the issue there is if my child gets Canadian citizenship, he/she won't be able to get my country's (let's name it country 'ABC') citizenship, as it does...

    ITA Uploading Proof of funds

Hi Kryt0n, Did you include your LOE into your POF document? So, you had all those mentioned documents (including LOE) in one pdf file? The reason I ask is that I thought all the explanations regarding the application should be written only in one LOE document which is uploaded separately, as an...

Work reference letter language when manager can’t speak English.

I am not sure if this question was raised before, I couldn’t find the answer on this forum. So, the issue is this: because my manager doesn’t know English,I would like to create a reference letter myself (based on the duties I actually done - and agreed with my manager). The company letterhead...

Already got PR and Visa, what if one of us decided not to go?

Looking through the other threads, senior members wrote that dependant can land alone after the Primary Applicant has landed. Take a look at this thread: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/can-dependent-land-alone-after-main-applicant-short-landing.495880/

Already got PR and Visa, what if one of us decided not to go?

    1. I would suggest him to come with you (if you are a Primary Applicant) before the expiration of COPR date. In that case he could apply for PR card and leave Canada for up to 3 years. Just remember, in order to maintain your (or your son's) PR status you have to physically be present in Canada...

PETROLEUM professionals (NOC) - Engineers, Technicians - Gather here.

I hope so. No, as for now, I can't see any additional document request from them. All it says: "You must provide proof of work experience for your current job and for each past position you listed. Proof must include a reference letter from your employer and pay stubs, if you have them. The...

PETROLEUM professionals (NOC) - Engineers, Technicians - Gather here.

Yes, agree on confusing wording on the website. I have 2 NOCs: 2145 - for a Drilling Engineer position; 8232 - for MWD/LWD Field Engineer position. I still have not submitted my eAPR yet, and not sure whether I should use 8232 for MWD job. But I am more towards that. I wish I could find someone...

PETROLEUM professionals (NOC) - Engineers, Technicians - Gather here.

Well, I put the date when I graduated my bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering. Although I am not sure if that's correct one, but that's surely the date when I was qualified to work in this position in my country. And in eAPR they didn't ask me to show any kind of trade qualification in Canada.

job title or job description which is important???

If your job responsibilities align with one of the NOCs 0, A, B, then there should be no problems. The main part is job responsibilities matching with responsibilities in that eligible NOC, and not the job title.

PETROLEUM professionals (NOC) - Engineers, Technicians - Gather here.

Hi @mhdataa , Thanks for sharing sample letter. I see similar sentences in my job description as well. The 2145 NOC is so broad in responsibilities, most of them are more related to petroleum/drilling engineers working for operator companies. I found only one responsibility there that applies to...
