That matches my experience. BTW, the webform works as a means of contact, and if there is a legitimately urgent reason, IRCC will contact you by phone to update you. Be warned though, the caller ID is blocked, so you won't know it's them calling! Cheers all, and speedy processing. -A.

    September 2017 Citizenship Applications

Two business days, as instructed. IRCC said to request manual validation, but fortunately, it was in the system by the end of the third business day. Got my passport with expedited processing in time for my trip! Cheers, A.

Can we apply for passport next day after Oath?

I waited the requisite 2 business days, and my information was still not in the system. I became a citizen on July 1. Contacted IRCC via the call centre, and now waiting. I hope it gets resolved soon as I am travelling on the 8th, and really need to get the application in today. A.

    September 2017 Citizenship Applications

I became a citizen on July 1, 2018. Thanks to all for the free flow of information on this forum. BTW, if you truly have time sensitive travel, don't rely on the "two business days" before applying for a passport guideline. I went to the passport office this morning and my info was not yet...

+1 on that. Honestly, the phone lines to IRCC should be for truly urgent inquiries... not routine questions. As someone who has had to sit on the phone trying to get an IRCC agent multiple times for truly time sensitive questions, I encourage all to use the web form when possible. -A.

(Cross posting from the Scarborough "DM-Oath" thread) Hi All - An update on my situation... and a positive interaction with IRCC: My oath was originally scheduled for July 1 in Ajax (processing office is Scarborough), but they sent me a second oath notice for July 6 at Scadding Court...

Hi All - An update on my situation... and a positive interaction with IRCC: My oath was originally scheduled for July 1 in Ajax (processing office is Scarborough), but they sent me a second oath notice for July 6 at Scadding Court downtown. I had previously notified IRCC of travel plans to...

Status online, but needed to wait for the snail mail letter for the details. Of course, now I am trying to get back to my originally scheduled date. Note to all -- if you notify IRCC of unavailability, be sure to add buffer days if your unavailability is due to travel outside of Canada. I...

Well, this is not optimal. I confirmed with IRCC that they have moved me to July 6, but that will not leave me enough time to get a passport before I travel on July 9th. So I've sent them a note via the web form explaining, and pleading to be moved back to July 1 on the advice of a very nice...

Well, I have seem to have an abundance of oath invites now: We sent you a notice on June 9, 2018 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on July 1, 2018 at 12:30 PM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If...

Yep... this all makes sense. I will have a bit of a scramble to obtain my Canadian passport. My oath is July 1... two business days means I cannot apply until Thursday, and I am travelling to the US the following Monday! Expedited processing ($$$) here I come! -A.

I got mine by regular old snail mail. Of course, the test invite was via email, and the FP request was via snail mail, so you never know what you're gonna get. :) -A.

We have opposite situations then... I have an ECAS update, but no email or postal mail. I call it IRCC Roulette... you never know what you're going to get! :D:rolleyes: A.
