Anyone aware if consent letter is mandatory in case of PRTD application for a minor?

You should have notified IRCC at the time of birth itself and then they would have issued you an ADR for baby's documents and all of you would have received PPR together.. Still you need to wait for response from IRCC as I believe your application status would already be in approved stage so...

Prefer to have it around a week prior to the date you decide to submit the documents.. as visa that would be stamped after PPR would usually have validity till one year from your medical date

Why are you applying for PR of your baby? I believe she would already have Canadian citizenship as she is born in Canada!

Then add the baby to your application after the birth, and you all can get PR together

1. No need to inform, you can inform just after the birth. 2. Not sure if it is different for US citizens but normally you will have to sponsor your baby (i.e. if you have already completed landing formalities before delivery and baby is born out of Canada) and that process may take some time.

Inform CIC about the expected due date, you will get an ADR requesting baby's document - Passport, Birth certi, Some addnl forms to be filled, medical with deadline around 30 days after your expected due date.

If you have done the landing once already then you will have to sponsor your baby. Better option was to deliver the baby in Canada, then she would have got the Canadian citizenship already.

OK, then I would wait for the status to change further. Also I know I have to collect it from vfs itself as I did not opt for courier, I am asking if I have to again follow the time taking process of token or I can go and collect directly?

I submitted our passports on 25th June, status has changed on VFS tracker today to 'Your processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office NEW DELHI, on 11/07/2018 to the Canada Visa Application Centre'. Does this mean I can go tomorrow to VFS and collect stamped passports or...

Don't have first hand experience but pretty sure that carrying both the passports would be sufficient.
