I would recommend to apply for trv. TRV has less turn around time and visa officer has to look into this and if they open your pr file with trv and see all looks ok , you might be lucky one to get pr and trv both otherwise wait is long before queue finishes for pr file Going by cases here it...

I agree and there must be some thinking and reason behind it. I think applying trv.after file has reached local office, connecting with the local MP to get the status or applying for GCMS notes are few of the ways to trigger and in most cases applying for trv with right documentation has changed...

That's a long wait and 2 months is cutting close. Do you think that ndvo has gone slow as they have granted trv or there is anything pending from paper work perspective. I am Contemplating if trv is good from overall scheme of things? What do you think?

Vignesh, Check your own PPR when you got your PR, it has the procedure for sending the passport to Ottawa if PA is in Canada.

Thanks Amit, yours should be benchmark for the time generally it takes for NDVO to take action when the file reaches to them. In addition, did you try to trigger to them to take actions like TRV application or talking to MP of your area ( I remember you raised it in one of the discussion thread).

I can try answering Amit: 1. Return tickets are not mandatory for TRV. I checked with the lawyer. 2. There is an invitation letter(required) from host and letter of explanation(optional). The situation can be explained there. In addition, UCI will be same for PR and TRV for each applicant so...

So did you apply using two separate applications or added both of them in one application as family members. Another question if you applied using two separate applications, you can apply the second one only after the first application is submitted, is that right?
