Update: Hubby went into Service Ontario, handed them his paperwork and they issued him a renewal - effective immediately! Yay! Apparently this is not correct procedure, so hopefully it sticks!- writetosfa

Anyone shed light on this situation? My hubby just got PR last Sunday but has been residing and working in Canada on a work permit since May 2010. The permit expired June 23, 2013 but he was able to keep working on implied status until a decision was made on the work permit extension. Now...- writetosfa

Temporary Worker, Permit Expired, Now Permanent Resident - OHIP waiting period?
My husband has been in Canada on a work permit since May 2010. His work permit expired on June 23, 2013 as his OHIP coverage expired with it. We applied for a permit extension so he could continue to work on implied status, but now his Permanent Residence has come in and he landed yesterday...- writetosfa

Question: Can you "land" at any border? Or are there certain ones that only have immigration services? Also, and this may be a tougher question. My husband has been working here for 3 years on a work permit. The permit expired in June and we are waiting for LMO results to extend the work...- writetosfa
