Yes. I applied (sent the papers) for the restoration on December 23th, 2017 (4 days before the limit of 90 days and they received the application AFTER the 90 days limit but it got approved anyway) and then applied for PR/OWP on Feb. 2nd. I only got the restoration approved in early April...

PR and OWP, yes. Not sure about restoration. But I believe so, as long as you are in the 90 days window after your status expired. I applied around 45 days before I applied for my PR and OWP.

I guess she is mentioning the work permit that you can get as a spouse of someone that already has a study permit/work permit. That is possible as far as I know but it's not called sponsoring.

This makes no sense. Spousal sponsoring is only for people that have PR or citizenship. You can't "sponsor someone's work permit" if you are temporary resident (work permit holder). Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I guess this has nothing to do with spousal sponsorship.

By the way they received my application on Feb. 5, not Feb. 8....

I'm so anxious about my work permit... They received my application on Feb. 8 but still I haven't received the WP approval. I check their website every hour to see if it updates. :/

I didn't get a confirmation for the work permit. I just assumed that I could also link it to my account and it worked, lol.

Oh, lol! I've read about people getting it through mail so I thought it was the only case. :D

That's weird...I never received an AOR through mail. The only thing I got was the e-mail asking me to link the paper application to my online profile.

Sent my OWP and my PR application in the same package (February 2nd I believe). Linked them in March 2nd after receiving and e-mail from CIC on March 1st, but never received an AOR (sent to Missisauga I believe, can't remember). Just checked my account and it says that they received my work...

Still waiting for my results. Guess I'm never doing anything at ILSC again.

Took it at ILSC in Toronto downtown area, still waiting for the results....this is so frustrating.
