Hi, Basically you need to prove the immigration that you will come back to india after your planned trip so, in order to do that submit Valid invitation or reason about the trip,proof of employment , fund, property under your name this more than enough to get a tourist visa. Thanks

You are already on 6th week, my guess either it could be today or next week. But at the end we cannot do anything about this until we get to hear back from CIC.

yes it takes 2-9 weeks . but i personally never seen any one waiting 9 weeks by reading forum i came to this conclusion., In my experience i have seen ppl getting passport in 2 weeks some it 6th week. Thanks
