I just got my CAN passport today and need to update Nexus at Pearson. Curious to hear when I do drop in, how long is the wait usually? Are there better times to go vs not? This is the last step in the process and I am pretty excited to get this done! Yay.

If I get my citizenship May 29, how unlikely is it that I can vote in the June 7th election? Probably impossible, right because I can't register to vote until I have citizenship?

Right??? It took 4.5 months in between DM and Oath invite for me. Not terrible but felt like a long wait.

Actually, it's a special ceremony called "Toronto Newcomer Day" and it lasts 4 hours (!!!). Roundtable discussions, lunch, speech by the mayor, and then the ceremony. It's at Nathan Phillips Square downtown. Interesting huh?

FYI: I received the oath invite via regular mail and not email, although all of the past correspondence to date was email. I am at the Scarborough office and the ceremony is held in Toronto.

Gotcha. I have read this from other forum users, so was prepared for it to be an unpleasant process. It may come by mail too. I'll let folks know the outcome when I have more info.
