nope, ecas still shows nothing after the test invite. i only have 4 bullets. and cic claims they sent an email, but it is not in inbox/trash or junk folders. however, the "second email" they sent, we received no problem. we are pretty lucky that my husband did not miss his ceremony.

So there is like 5 applicants from Ottawa in the october thread, that has applied later than my husband, has received DM later than my husband, but had the chance of getting the oath invite before him. I mean don't get me wrong, there are people who have been waiting more than my husband too...

did you call and let the cic know you will be out of the country. i heard if they schedule you for an oath and you do not show up, they schedule you again within 2 year frame. 2 years! seriously, sometimes i wonder what kind of tools cic uses. i want to go ahead and program a tool for each...

Yes i agree it's a hassle. I wouldn't do it either. But if you have an emergency case, like if your relative is getting married and you want to go to the wedding and etc, it is not that big of trouble to renew your card. I always traveled with my canadian passport and had no issues in europe...

you can also always get a new pr card. it only costs 50 bucks. of course it seems like a bit of a waste since your ceremony should be soon,but if you are worried about emergency cases, it is not that big of fee to pay. I want to travel at the end of the august, and i hope to get our oath...
