    NY VAC - Processing Timeline/Delays

You can send an email to them if it’s been more than 5 business days since they received your passport. Here’s the email address - info.canny@vfshelpline.com BTW, I finally received my tracking ID for one of the passports I had sent on Thursday. Edited the post to update timeline

    NY VAC - Processing Timeline/Delays

First off, if you are reading this post to see whether NY VAC is the best place to send your passport for stamping/visa etc., then short answer is NO. DO NOT SEND YOUR PASSPORT TO THEM. Even if it is farther away, send your passport to LA VAC & save yourself 2-3 weeks. Second, I am starting...

Daily commute (Detroit-Windsor) (H1b and Canada PR)

Same thing happened to me as well. Can you advise what you did? I really don’t want to be stuck without a passport for 4-6 weeks. How long did it actually end up taking you?

    Dependent Child Sponsorship - 2021

Hey Ashsan, this is the first time I’m hearing of an online portal. All my search via canada.gov for dependent sponsorship don’t lead me to this portal. I applied via paper on October. Just wondering/worried whether I need to apply via portal as well. How did you get to know that you need to use...

    Cost of dependent child application

I've almost completed my dependent child application for my kid (inland app) and had a quick question. Just confirming the fees is only 150 + 85 (biometric)? Based on the link here that seems to be the case but wanted to confirm the RRPF fee does not apply for minor children?

    Banking in US and Canada

Hello! Those of you that get paid in USD but live in Canada how do you manage your banking expenses? Do you simply transfer the required amount of money per month from your US bank account to CAD or do you use a borderless banking account that allows you to convert between both currencies? are...

Windsor area - 2 full bath

Sorry for the late reply. 2 beds at a minimum, anything over that is fine as well. The main condition is 2 full baths. I’m just tired of looking for places. We might just have to change our move in date to fit housing availability.

Windsor area - 2 full bath

Hello, My husband and I are planning to move to Windsor later this year and are searching for apartments/houses close to the tunnel. However, I’m finding it extremely difficult to get 2 full bath apartments. Most ads that say 2 bath turn out to have 1 full & 1 half. The inventory for apartments...

USPS safe to send passport from US to Canada?

Hi, I've gone through other threads and am wondering if anyone has experience in sending passport for their PPR from the US to Canada through USPS. Most threads recommend FedEx or UPS but both of those don't deliver to your mailbox and will instead require a signature when the passport is...

Sending passport from USA to Canada

It would be great if members here could guide me. Is there a reason that people here didn't use USPS? I am in a traveling job and USPS is the only one that would drop the passports back in my mail box instead of requiring me to sign for it. Is it just a matter of preference that most people used...

    AOR in February 2018

In my case, my profile did not show "Updated" even though the wording for Background Check changed inside. After about 7 days (yesterday), I saw the profile was updated but didn't see any changes. Then the same night, PPR email was triggered.

Indian PCC from US embassy - via mail and in person

You can apply for Indian PCC only at the consulate in whose jurisdiction you maintain legal residence. As I explained at the start of my post, I lived in the jurisdiction of NYC consulate and my husband lived in Atlanta consulate's jurisdiction.
