How much do you think fake profiles affect these draws? I mean, how can we know if there are people creating fake profiles deliberately just to make cut off increase? I’m stuck at 453 and already tried a lot of IELTS to increase the remaining 12 points I could get but I don’t want to spend more...

The only thing that works is “NO TRACE”, any other result may raise a flag to the officer and could ask for other documents. Not that I’m saying that it would cause a rejection but it could delay the application. As of the timeline it is 2-3 weeks more or less.

Can someone help me with this query. My wife’s IELTS will expire on Sept 30, I told her to retake it after I was sure we were next in line for ITA but now I’m not sure if a expired IELTS is a cause for getting us out of the pool (if I don’t update the score before it expires). What do you think...

AFAIK you have to show what’s stated by CIC which is $12,669. Be careful if you don’t get an ITA this year and they increase the minimum funds needed as you could be disqualified automatically if the new minimum is above the amount you stated.

It’s sad that in late 2018 and most of 2019 it was under 450 and now that we need it goes higher and who knows when we will get the invitation. Patience and never give up.
