Yeah I had this. It was a random sample of applicants they double check your IDs - so make sure you have passport, driving licence etc - it was 2 mins and done, they didn't even come on camera.

    Canadian Passport in person timeline

I went to Brampton passport office today at 12pm, waited outside for 5 mins, then inside for just over an hour. They said I'll receive passport in the mail in 2 weeks. I had travel (hotel booking for Buffalo) documents dated mid October, which 3 or 4 different people asked to see. Much easier...

Buying a Condo in North york

I don’t know North. Would you recommend it? Closer to cottage at weekend I guess. I was renting in High Park, but buying a detached house there was a stretch. Port Credit, Clarkson, Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton worth considering if OP open to West, IMO. Hamilton good value if not commuting...

Buying a Condo in North york

Not worth buying if looking to exit within 5 years minimum imo. Selling costs are 5% here in agents’ fees. Your mortgage will probably be 5 year fix (with fees to exit it early) anyway. Town houses often have condo fees too, so best to check. We just bought west of Toronto, in Clarkson. GO...

Got deported from Canada 6 month ago, and chances to apply US B1/B2visa?

Think he was misrepresenting in Canada, not US. US visa cancellation was knock-on effect. Not sure if this makes a difference.

    PRTD

(You didn't reply to me but I was one of the posters above) I went to the High Commission in London and applied for a PRTD - it took nearly a week. Depending on which country you are currently in this is the safest option - go to your local Canadian embassy.

Boarding a plane to canada with no PR card

4 days to get PRTD in London last week. Bit of a hassle but peace of mind to have it. I don't think it was necessary (noone from the airline looked at my passport long enough to see it). My eTA was cancelled on landing (I checked online). If you're near the embassy in Germany then I say apply...

    PRTD for new PR

It took 4 days in London - I started another thread. https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/prtd-london-experience.591582/#post-7329072 When I flew out someone from BA (my airline) asked if I had a valid eTA and I said yes. Noone checked my passport long enough...

    PRTD London Experience

Yes that's exactly right. Needed to travel within 2 months of landing, so no choice but to get PRTD from one of the countries I was in. London seems good turnaround.
