Yeah, that is a bit strange to be approved and still have them request more documents. Could be an error or could be something else entirely. In my case I didn't get any such request like that. (I'm not from a visa exempt country either) My suggestion if you're in doubt is to reach out to IRCC...

Agreed, I was also operating on a "more is better" mindset at the time. But thinking back on it now, I think scanning 3 entire passports (all pages included even the empty ones) was perhaps a bit overkill. :D

Like you I also added all the trips between my home country and UAE. Someone told me much later after I had already submitted my application that it's not required. But it turned out OK for me in the end, so I assume it's a harmless mistake. :p Good luck!

Regarding the passport submission, all communication was done through email with VFS (i choose to go through them instead of sending it through post). But they never informed me of the status whether approved or not until I actually received the actual package back with the passport stamped and...

Not necessarily. My additional document status stayed the same after receiving PPR and didn't change even after COPR.

For what it's worth, the same thing happened to me, I didn't ask WES for a correction, and my application was completed without further issues. To be specific, they merely misspelled one part of my name (it has several written variations) so I didn't see the need as it's not a major difference...

Where did you read that? My full name includes my father's name as well (Middle East / Arabic naming convention). As long as the name matches with your other official documents (passports...etc) there shouldn't be any issue.
