Hey. Yes I did. But no positive/meaningful response. If you’ve a spouse in the process of PR sponsorship, I think you can apply for an open work permit for them. I’m not clear on how this works, you can seek more guidance.

Thanks for the response mate! I’m actually stuck in the same situation like you(only that I’m not working—I came in with TRV under family exemption). File has been approved since April 2020 but no COPR. They requested a remedical and updated address/UCI number (as an additional doc request) last...

CEC - AOR Nov 2020 - Residential Address Request

Hey, did you receive any feedback yet from IRCC? I’m inside Canada. And I got the same request on June 7th as well as remedical request (which I passed on June 18th.) I sent them a letter stating my address.

Please is there anybody here that is going through the extended family exemption? Please indicate. I’m terribly confused. I need to know how you are going about the process. I’m a PR applicant and I also have a sibling. I don’t really know how to go about the authorization process for someone in...

@legalfalcon thanks for your adept support so far. Please can you shed some light on a grey area regarding the newly announced exemption yesterday for extended family. I’ve a PR sibling, and my PR application has also been approved since April according to GCMS, webform, and several phone calls...

It means your medicals has been extended. That’s likely a good sign judging from the trends we’ve been seeing so far. I hope you get the good news soon. Please, what Aor are you? And which stream?

Hi, I don’t know you, but I can imagine your plight right now. I know it’s difficult and even harder to practice, but please, hang in there a little more. I really hope this October will bring about some good news. It’s really been a terrible process ☹️

Congrats @uche13 . I’m super excited to hear this news. I’m also an applicant from Nigeria. FSW-Outland, Nov 29th Aor. Application has been approved since April (I found out via GCMS and webform). However, nothing since then from CPC Ottawa, I guess due to the pandemic☹️. Please I’ve a few...

We really hope they do. The year is almost over. Many people’s lives have been devastated by this uncertainty.

Why don’t you call IRCC and verify since you are already inside Canada? I think they will be in a better position to respond

Sadly no one knows. A lot of us have been devastated by this delay. It’s affecting people mentally, I’ve seen it first hand. The recent exemptions are fuelling more anxiety. Apparently, the wait is the only way. It’s depressing really. Hang in there mate.

Hi, @legalfalcon, I’m a Nov Aor. My application was approved around April. Please can you offer some clarity on your suggestion. The current travel exemptions as it concerns us appears to only apply to PR applicants approved on or before March 18th (save recently, those from US). However, it...
