I'm going to flagpole today at Point Roberts, and the immigration consultant recommended not taking our cell phones to the border, as the officers could in principle want to look at them which would slow down the process and might mean further questions. That's seems a little bit too much...

I guess they don't have a direction in the "dependant" relationship. It's more like "list people that either depend on you, or you depend on them" than "list your dependants".

My passports are out for delivery for the second time. The first time they didn't deliver. I'm wondering if the address is wrong, then they might need me to pickup it. Only problem is, the address they're sending it to is my immigration consultant's, so I'm not sure I would be able to go there...

My tracker was finally activated minutes ago! My visa was printed on 8/22. Inland/Canada Post.

Your situation is very complex. If you can't wait to marry after you do your landing, I advise you ask an immigration lawyer.

My passport took three business days from Vancouver to Ottawa. I guess it will be the same to get it back. Do you have the tracking number for the delivery to CPC?

I think it's very unlikely for them to reject you application after the visa has been printed. I guess it would only happen if something came to their knowledge that you lied in your application, or are wanted for terrorism or something like that. Even then, they are probably not looking for it...

I understand what you're saying, but of course there is a business need to deliver passports ASAP. Without my passport I can't leave the country. If there is an emergency with my family that requires my attention I simply can't leave Canada. I'd say that's way more business need than people who...
