    June 2020 **Outland** Spousal Sponsorship

When I was having issues getting info about my application I used an app called Spikko to buy a temporary "Canadian" phone number so that I could call the agents and speak to them directly. You can't call them from outside Canada, so this allowed me to fool their system. I don't know if it...

We sent ours as part of our original application packet.

    June 2020 **Outland** Spousal Sponsorship

We got our pre-arival letter today (Ottawa VO). I'm not really sure what the significance of the letter is, but I see it as a good sign that the process is still moving forward.

    Family

Waiting 4 months is not abnormal right now. After submitting my application it took 7 months before I received any communication from Canada. COVID has caused a massive delay.

    Notice of app transfer

In our case it was the sponsor.

    June 2020 **Outland** Spousal Sponsorship

I got SA today. It's nice to see things finally moving. We can't get in to the medical clinic until March 1, so everything is on hold for us for the next 1.5 months.

    June 2020 **Outland** Spousal Sponsorship

Just an FYI, we live in the US, but wrote a letter to the MP where we're expecting to move when the paperwork goes through. They asked for an authorization to release information and a copy of our passports and immediately after that (within 2 days) we finally got the medical request from IRCC...

    June 2020 **Outland** Spousal Sponsorship

My wife (PA) and children received their medical requests today from IRCC. This is the first we've heard since submitting the application on 16 June. Still no AOR1.

    June 2020 **Outland** Spousal Sponsorship

Unless there is just flat-out bias of some kind I would assume that some applications are easier to verify for completeness than others, but who knows what goes on inside the bureaucracy?

    June 2020 **Outland** Spousal Sponsorship

There are still people from March waiting for an AOR and some people from August who have already gotten theirs. When we'll get ours in anyone's guess. Hang in there. I'm in the exact same boat as you. Temp number but no AOR1.

    June 2020 **Outland** Spousal Sponsorship

That's very exciting. Thanks for sharing. I'm not getting my hopes up though. I'm still not expecting to get my AOR before the end of the year. If it comes earlier than that it'll be a very welcomed surprise.

    June 2020 **Outland** Spousal Sponsorship

Thanks for the info. Did you call from inside Canada or outside Canada? I've heard that they don't take calls from outside Canada.

*** September 2020 - Outland Spousal (Family Class) Sponsorship ***

I don't want to be discouraging or anything, but you should prepare yourself for a significant wait. They are just now sending AORs for applications sent over 7 months ago in March. At the rate their going I'd be surprised if they get to September applications before the end of the year. I've...

    ***APRIL 2020 OUTLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP***

It looks like things are starting to slowly move again. A couple of people who submitted March applications got their AOR yesterday.

Did you hear something about when they're coming back, or is that just a guess?

    June 2020 **Outland** Spousal Sponsorship

Sorry if this is a silly question, but when you all are saying "application received", what do you mean? Are you getting that confirmation from the shipping carrier, or is there some kind of confirmation from the Sydney processing center?

    June 2020 **Outland** Spousal Sponsorship
