Ray of Hope - 95th Draw

I had a similar dilemma last year. Ended up registering for 3-4 back to back IELTS to max my score. Luckily didn't need it as CRS cutoff scores dipped. But the approach of more tests to achieve max score is worth a try. Its a no brainer despite the expense if it works out.

SOFT LANDING- NEED GUIDANCE ON PR CARD

Please correct me if this is wrong. PR card and PR status are different things and you using them interchangeably. PR card is simply a travel document much as a passport is. Not every PR in Canada keeps a PR card from what I've read (it simply means they cannot travel by air out of Canada)...

PR card address of different state than the one you landed

If I land in BC but give the address for PR card delivery for Ontario, how will it impact me ? Would anything change.

    Mailbox rentals

I've read here that UPS provides rented mailboxes. Can we receive our PR cards there? Does someone have to be physically present to sign when receiving the PR cards or do they arrive via simple mail? Thanks

My landing experience at Toronto (YYZ)

Thanks for the detailed experience. 1. Do you or anyone else knows if the mailbox rentals can be used to receive the PR cards? 2. Does someone have to be physically present to sign when the PR cards arrive or do they arrive via simple mail? Thanks

Brokerage Account Monthly Statements Towards Proof of Funds

Candidates who apply from US generally are evaluated less harshly on POF per my understanding. I've seen people submit IRA or 401K only and get PPR without any issues. So it may be possible. To be safe though, just transfer 4K from your investment account to your savings account to be over the...

Ray Of Hope - 87th Draw

At 441, you don't really have to worry. The draws are about to get larger and more frequent (its just math really: higher yearly targets adjusted for fewer Jan-Mar ITAs). It is a matter of weeks before scores fall down to mid-high 430s. You will get it.

    Singapore Timeline

You can't be serious. Just look at the tracker for PPRs from SGVO this year and compare to the likes of NDVO or LVO. Look at the "awesome" reply texts people get from SGVO (go through this thread a few pages back). It's not even a worthy comparison.

    Its me nani

The PCC rule has recently changed. If anytime you've stayed longer than 6 months in a country you have to get a PCC. If you passed through US immigration and entered US mainland and this stay was continuous for 6 months or more, then you get a PCC, else no. Note that it is has to be a...

    Funds

Get cover letters from the brothers stating that they will bear all the expenses of their mother during the trip. Let the letter state the passport/visa/pr details of your brothers. Have them attach copies of their bank statements if available. Attach these with the application. Those should...

Can i apply for PR though i might already be a Canadian Citizen?

Not an expert but here's what i think. 1. You are not a citizen. You are eligible to become one if certain conditions are met. But as of now, you are not. You are no different than someone who has spent say 4 years in Canada as a PR and is eligible to become a citizen if certain conditions are...

    Reasons for Rejection

Its a common issue. Just upload the same doc in both the placeholders and explain the reason in the LOE (i.e. same company).

    Singapore VO. Let's connect.

I am concerned that they may not approve anyone for months like they went silent in 2016 and 2017. Not much one can do other than wait. I am Nov AOR.

Will SGVO issue a PPR ever again? It seems they've closed shop.
