1) You did upfront medical and submitted along your application when you filed ? or you did post the embassy asked you to do ? 2) Have you linked your application in cic site ?

It'll take 7 weeks, may come in 6 if you lucky :) they are processing day by day, May 31 applicants got their decision.

Awaiting for the same. Applied on May 31 from Chennai vfs and processed and same day and received at Bangalore CIC. Medical passed, nothing else. Mailed 2wice as u stated only got the ack n nothing else. Heard they started working on June 29,30..

Yes, they do keep your passport for the whole time. If it's paper based application they'd collect your passport at VFS . For online application you'll be asked to submit your passport.

The application process now is 7 weeks. so I'm afraid it's too late on your case now. Offline visa processing will take time than online one. So please have your university updated and check can you join next sem if possible (worst case scenario)
