    Question about eligibility for AHCIP

Yeah. We are going to work towards getting our own place from the get go. Staying with family is not a comfotable arrangement! My uncle who lives there said we can find a place in Edmonton within a few weeks.

    Question about eligibility for AHCIP

I want to update that I got a response to the email that I sent Alberta health, in the hopes it can help someone who was as worried as I was. My conclusion is: if you are planning to spend at least a year there and you provide a full application in the first three months, you're eligible for...

    Question about eligibility for AHCIP

No worries!! I'm grateful to your and Canuck's help. It's so difficult to untangle this stuff and we must base major life decisions on it; all help is appreciated!! I'll probably call again on Monday and put another agent to the test, but it's looking like eligibility is not going to be a...

    Question about eligibility for AHCIP

The one year criterion is fair and understandable. We are open to staying there one year. However, what is your take on when the insurance kicks in? Do you think we would be eligible immediately? This is what they are telling me on the phone but it's worrying me that the website says you might...

    Question about eligibility for AHCIP

We landed in British Columbia in Nov 2018, stayed for a short trip in different cities and then left. We didn't apply for any health insurance. In the summer of 2019, we went back for another short visit to Canada, but again didn't apply for any health insurance. We have been planning to...
