I dont think so.. When I had gone for my PR renewal interview (Yes I had to do that), there was this person who had applied for his citizenship and PR renewal. He was there for his PR Renewal and the lady at the counter said that his oath date was in 3 weeks and he doesnt really need the new PR...

I am definitely one of those people who wanted to get their application in process before the floodgates open...... you are saying the process time will increase to more than 12 months?

Hmmm.... thanks for the information. I am hoping it doesn't come back to me, there is a gap of about two months between my two jobs, which is explained when they read through my travel history but I didnt explicitly write it under work history tab

Question - do they return applications if something is missing? Like even if it is a shopping day trip to US?

I completely agree. Also, I have seen my PR renewal being delayed by 15 months when Refugee applicants opened up. So I thought I would learn from it and apply before 3 in 5 comes in....
