Did anyone sent in a renewal for their PR card while waiting for updates on their citizenship application? My card is expiring next year, and I haven't receive any updates after my file showed IP on ecas back in October.

IRCC returned my citizenship application due to my mistake with a typo a while ago, and together with it a letter saying that the refund of my application fee will be send in another letter. I immediately corrected the typo, and repaid the application fee. My question is, how long does it take...

Anyone got ECAS yet? I just want this whole thing to be over with. My passport is expiring very soon, and I feel it's really unsafe to be caught without a valid passport.

I don't think that helps, even if you work for the federal government. Immigration checks, even if they use the same methods, need to be done by IRCC. Nothing to worry about unless the applicant has something to hide. Not saying that you do, but there are always a few bad apples in every basket.

Hopefully your application is complete, and there's no mistakes on it. I made a single typo, and my application was mailed back to me after it was on ECAS in process. The whole thing added an additional 90 days to my application.

It was issued by Sydney processing centre. At least they apologized for the delay in responding to me in the letter haha. I guess they are aware applications are taking a long time.

I thought that too, until I saw a sticker with the Edmonton IRCC office on my original forms. Doesn't that mean that the local office did receive my application?

My application was also delayed by C-24 too. I could have been a citizen already if the government didn't implement it. Oh well. Does anyone know about the fee refunds? Do I need to call IRCC, or is it automatic?

I had more than enough days for my physical presence in Canada. It's just that I filled in one single typo on the date I received my PR i.e. 1 replaced by 2. I redid the calculator printout, and sent it back.

Anyone's ECAS disappeared from IRCC's website after your file shows that it is in process? I checked it multiple times, and each time the system shows that my UCI, PR #, application #, and receipt number doesn't exist in ECAS.

victorier, I don't think you have anything to worry about. Since you already got your AOR, it's just a matter of time before you will get IP status. Sometimes it takes the government a while to update statuses. I worked in a federal government department before, and things there move at the rate...

I got my AOR on July 17th. About 10 days to get to In Process, but it might vary due to the new citizenship law taking effect. I was screwed like a whole bunch of other people when they last changed the residency law.
