So, can he apply for a job and be hired without a SIN and just get it right away once he lands? (Just wondering why they send you all this info about applying for jobs if you can't until you land anyways)

Does anyone know when you get your SIN so you can start applying for jobs? We have sent in my husband's passport and are just waiting for it to be returned with his PR. Will we have to apply for the SIN separately?

So, you still had to pay for the Dr's visit out of pocket? And basically the insurance was just to cover a major hospitalization? We have a newborn who will need a couple routine Dr's visits in the timeframe that we are not covered

Is anyone headed to Ontario and looked into private health insurance to cover the 3 months you are not eligible for OHIP? I have a list of all the potential providers but getting quotes from all of them feels complicated....Wondering if anyone has done a comparison of various providers?
