Do you have your passport now? If not, check your tracker and if the date has changed, it's probably ready for pick up. More so, you could also just call them up to check.

This is close to true as I witnessed thesame...my passport dispatch date changed twice and at the second time I reached out to VFS Lagos and confirmed it was ready for pick up.

If that's the case, we should pay more attention to the dispatch date because from waht i understand in this is thatthe change in date of dispatch indicates it's arrival at VFS Lagos. Is this your observation or that's the basic standard?

But this is kinda insane..It wouldn't take more than 3 working days to ship a document like passport from Accra to Lagos...Ideally, do they how hold on to a passport whose application is approved?

OMG!!! that's totally crazy and unbelievable. am sorry about that..it's been exactly one week and your document hasn't arrived at the VFS in lagos, this is strange..Perhaps you can wait till end of the day if you intend to spend the night in Lagos...

At no point..but after like 2 weeks the tracker changed from your application "has been sent to AccraVO" to "it's been processed at Accra VO"..thats how it has been till today..Even when i received an email of application approved with counterfoil last week in my CIC account, the tracker didn't...

Ok, will try and call as you suggested and if I don't get through, I might have to travel to Lagos VFS office coz I already made flight reservations and it's fast approaching..Getting in touch with Accra Canada Embassy is a dead end as far as I know.

Yea I don't live in lagos unfortunately. Wait a minute..your VFS tracker wasn't updated when your passport was dispatched to Lagos and you had to call to confirm?

Thanks....but could it be ready in their office and they don't update the tracker because I will be travelling like 4hrs to Lagos... There phones never goes through and they never respond to emails...this is so vexing...

Then if it was dispatched to Lagos since Thursday, I think it should have been ready for pick up since yesterday...You can visit VFS Lagos or call if you want to confirm..

I hope it's actually 2-3 weeks because I submitted passports at the VFS Lagos since the 2nd of May, I haven't received my passport or documents back. Although application says approved on online status and VFS tracking is kinda useless...same status since 2nd of May.

You can track your application using the VFS tracking number....perhaps it's already in VFS lagos
