MP stands for Member of Parliament. You should be present in Canada to ask for an assistant. Their contact information can easily be found by google search. Which MPs you should be contacting is based on your address.

In my experience, it is best if you don't try to reason it out or expect 'first-come-first-serve' from IRCC. But we are only human and I am checking mycic ever chance I get. How sad is that...

Mine was renewed last September, automatically by cic. This was the first in a year that CIC directly contacted me and last year June was when i was asked to submit an additional document.

Yes, I too was extremely annoyed when I was given only a year on my work permit extension this Feb, which is disgustingly annoying. Mind you, we spent around $700 for two of us including my medical exam due to my occupation. Watching my hard-earned tax money getting wasted by this government...

Has anyone submitted a ATIP request to IRCC in the past 2-3 months? I submitted one back in March, but I haven't received it. I sent a status request email in April and nothing except their inconsiderate auto-reply with excuses dated back in May 2017.
