Hey, congrats on your PR! just curious if you ever did end up changing jobs? I just got my Alberta nomination and will be sending my PR application shortly... wondering if applying for the open work permit is worth it or if it's too risky to change jobs.

Alberta is not in line with Express Entry yet, you do not get the 600 extra points from an Alberta nomination.

They emailed both of us at the same time.

Has anyone here gotten PR after being nominated from a EDS - Skilled Worker Category in Alberta? Website says processing time is 16 months, is that timeline accurate?

Permit expires October this year. Along with nomination you get an additional letter you can use in case you need to renew work permit while you are waiting for PR.

Got the nomination on an email yesterday evening! Applying for PR right away, will send papers on Monday. Good luck!

hi, my employer and I sent the requested information before the deadline they gave us. we didn't get a confirmation or anything and still haven't heard back, will keep you posted. have you received any emails or calls?

Hi! Today I received an email asking for confirmation on my information and some payment slips from my employer. Email says that my application will be again reviewed on July 27th so I would have to submit information before then! This is it! Good luck to you too! :)
