Yes. There were family members attending the ceremony with many applicants. The hall is big, was full but not cramped. I guess you can bring 3 people with you.

Me and my family became Canadian citizen today morning. Took the oath along with 85 others in a nicely organized ceremony. Thanks everybody in this forum for being with us during this 9 month journey. Good luck to everyone who are at different stages of their citizenship application process...

Congrats!! Was it a normal or urgent application? Normal passport application taking only 6 days for issuance is pretty impressive. Website says 20 working days and in Winnipeg it's more than a month still no news for passport applicants. Congrats again.

So, If one travels with Indian passport and Citizenship certificate after oath they will not be allowed to enter back to Canada unless they have a Canadian passport?

Then how one can travel to their home country after oath and before getting Canadian passport?

Me and my family members are taking our oath on 24th July and my family will be travelling to India on 25th July. Our PR Cards are valid till 5th Sept. We don't have the time to apply and get our Canadian passport. Can my family travel to India and back with Indian passport and Canadian PR card...

I did my test on 7th May and DM since 8th May. CIC agents told me that my application was approved for citizenship. What is the rule Winnipeg IRCC is following for oath invite God only knows :(

Just checked online that four new citizenship ceremonies have been scheduled. 2 for 10th July and 1 each for 12th and 17th July. Hopefully some more updates next week. Not bad...ehh!!!

Congrats. Winnipeg CIC moving after a long time. Did you received a physical letter only or email and ECAS update as well?

My friend from Winnipeg applied in Oct. 3rd week, took test in March and oath in May. But I think that's an aberration. Although sample size is small on this forum, looks like this is the slowest center after Scarborough.
