Once you have received the Oath Letter you do have a chance to call them and re-schedule, you may be lucky and it fall on a day which would work for you

It is a completely different process than PR at least for me, PR was way more in depth, Citizenship is basically, a done deal as long as you meet all the requirements, Legal Prohibitions (Keep you nose clean), Have enough days physically present in Canada, Pass the knowledge test and language...

Yes, you will OK as long as you keep your residency requirement.I have been in and out of the country during my application several times and so far all is good just waiting for my oath.
