Finally got email oath invitation! Am I correct in that we aren’t able to request an electronic citizenship certificate?

My parents have been waiting since March 2022 as well, no updates. Russian citizens, working and living in Qatar for many years now.

Also Scarborough office - logged into the tracker and saw oath invitation for March 13. Oath was updated to "in progress" on Jan 19th, no email yet. I moved after submitting application - filled out a webform at some point, but not sure whether it ever went through (online wasn't working).

Resubmitted photos 4/29 - noticed a change to updated and back to submitted.

Resubmits are still on April 10th - got a response from a Case Specific Inquiry today.

Checking in here, also resubmitted photos. Border agent only took one photo when I landed, not sure that's the reason. Meanwhile, I'm now outside of Canada and slowly starting to angst over not being able to fly back in 1-2 months to look at apartments. Landed: March 8th @ Hamilton Photos...

I actually did include some kind of customs form with the prepaid envelope. But thanks for the tip to call Fedex if there's an issue! I'll do that if it gets stuck in customs. I responded to the email saying "look inside the envelope," and they were like "Oh. Ok, I found it."

CoPR issued!!! Ottawa says I need a commercial invoice from Fedex, which I thought I already included, so once that's sorted out, I'll have the passport back!

Who told you this? The sponsor can be living outside of Canada, but in this case must show intent to return to Canada when the PA is granted residence. We got RFE'd for that actually, and had to submit an additional statement, affidavits from friends and proof of applying to grad school (for...

So confusing! Did you apply inland? Sponsor doesn't need to be in Canada if you apply outland...unless you misrepresent on the application.
