We got an email that our application has been transferred to Accra Visa office in Ghana. They are painfully slow, no wonder we didn't get medical request before file was transferred. Likely draw out the whole 12 months. Will order GCMS notes on the 15th of March to see what the comments thus far is.

That is usually the case. They get ties in once you have done your medicals cos of the expiration. Most slow VOs prefer to control that. Likely we will end up in LVO in our case if not haven't been moved already. Then everything goes into radio silence for a length of time.

Still haven't receive the SA email either. We got biometric request which is now approved. I guess for some the SA email might never come.

In our case, no additional fee was required. I paid the biometric fee at the time of application submission. My wife did get a receipt when she went to VFS in Lagos though. The receipt converted the fee I paid in CAD to Naira, the local Nigerian currency.

No, you do not lose the fee paid. You get refunded, just takes a very long time for that process to happen.

Nope. We still have not received the SA approval email. Biometrics was done yesterday after we got the request on the 12th of Feb. On Gckey our biometric status says completed. On Ecas under SA still reads decision made. As I said before, not losing sleep over whether we get the email or not...

Yes it is a good sign for SA. Logically no point in continuing the application process by IRCC if SA is not eligible. That application is progressing is a sign that SA was favourable. As regards biometric PA in my case is from Nigeria so it was mandatory to have it done. I think Asia only got...

We got biometric request yesterday so won't lose sleep over whether we get the SA approval email or not. The biometric request is an indication that the decision was favourable. I guess the next wait for us is medical now.

Hi guys, Quick question. Is there a time lag between when the status on Ecas changes to decision made for SA and when you get the official email confirmation? I have not received any email and nothing in my GCkey either

Just checked ECAS and it says decision made. Will check gckey in a moment. We completed the biometric today in Lagos.
