    Minor Dependents and PR card

Hello, Does anyone know - do minors who are dependents receive a PR card? My wife received her card but there is nothing for the dependent child. I am wondering if this is normal or if there should be one, do they mail them separate? Thanks for any info.

    DM but no PPR?!?!

PPR came to PA's email in my case. It can take a few weeks or more after DM (assuming the decision was positive). Ours came only a few days later but we were lucky

    Schedule A question

Our Schedule A was many pages. I'd just include everything. An extra few hours now is better than potentially months delay because of the Schedule A. That's just my opinion. By the way, don't forget to physically sign the Schedule A. I believe that is the form with the electronic signature but...

November 2018 Outland Applicants (Spousal Sponsorship)

It took us 4 days (2 business days only) since we submitted our passport but I think it depends on the speed of your local VFS office. I waited until we got the notification that my wife's passports was ready for pickup before I booked tickets.

    Spelling Mistake on Marriage Certificate

Mine also had a spelling mistake, although not as bad as city of birth, and it was accepted. I think if the marriage certificate is original and valid in the country it was issued, it should be fine. I don't know what action you should take, just giving my own experience.

November 2018 Outland Applicants (Spousal Sponsorship)

I forgot to mention our landing experience! It was very simple. Wife landed in Vancouver Airport and I was with her. The first immigration officer took a look at her passport and COPR and directed us to go towards the "New Immigrants" area after we grab our checked luggage. Once at the new...

November 2018 Outland Applicants (Spousal Sponsorship)

I am not sure why our background check was not 3 months. My only guess is that our application met certain criteria (unknown what it is) to be approved instantly or fairly quickly rather than months. We were a "simple" application (similar age, live together physically for entire duration of...

November 2018 Outland Applicants (Spousal Sponsorship)

Yes I would guess that the dates in our ECAS/GCKey updated differently from when they were actually completed. Our dates didn't make sense. Seems like some updates were delayed (ie Medical before SA, etc). Good luck

November 2018 Outland Applicants (Spousal Sponsorship)

My wife landed in Canada today!! Woohoo. Glad to finally be finished. 5 months and 1 day after our application was received. The landing in YVR was very easy and simple. I'd be glad to describe our landing experience later. Good luck to everyone else and always stay positive.

    Passport request

Yes, you've passed. GCKey updates after you send in your passport and they issue the visa/COPR. Mine only took 2 business days to process but PA is from different country than yours.

    ***DECEMBER 2018 OUTLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP***

The only thing I will add is that the additional information (2nd post) is not necessarily correct. They claim only PA from high approval rate countries are put into the Low risk stream. My PA is from Philippines and we were processed completely in Mississauga and total processing time was only...
