I have the same situation but mine will expire on sept. they said you still have to apply for extension of her visitor visa. if not she will not have a legal status here in Canada.

yup! You're right. I overlooked and thought i was in an Inland thread.

Your application depends on the VO looking through it. We're May 2nd applicants and hasn't receive anything yet.

I've read that on the spreadsheet earlier on. Days ago someone called and said they are still processing April 4th applications. Hours ago someone said April 28th applications received their AOR. I know it doesn't help much but at least we are getting something.

I am not sure if there's a way you'll know about it. But, how would they know your details?

I thought of that too. Counting the days, not sure if they work saturdays, but i'm sure not.. today is like the 16th day since they got our applications. It's just that waiting is very stressful.

Been reading some threads it says that they called CIC recently and said they are still provessing April 4th applications and if we chose Inland application sometimes it takes 49 days max for the first AOR, but minimum is just 9 days, we processed ours by Inland so we are really expecting a bit...

Thank you. We sent ours May 2. So we are praying that we can receive our first AOR soon. Waiting is very stressful.

Is it always 3-4 weeks? Or it can be longer than that?

You have to send ORIGINAL FORMS with your SIGNATURE on it, they will not accept scanned signatures.

Hi jujunfoo! as for my experience, if you can apply for a visitor visa for your partner then it's better. Get married here, then process inland spousal application. That's what my wife and i did. Since we all know, same sex marriage in Our country is not allowed.
