How to get wife to Canada? (fastest way)

This is not actually an answer but an additional question, out of curiosity. Why wasn't your wife listed in your PR application in the first place? I've always assumed that, if an applicant is legally married, both husband and wife will be considered under one application and will be...

    DECEMBER 2019 *OUTLAND* SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

Thank you. We did a walk-in at IRCC office in Charlottetown, PEI. I called them yesterday to inquire whether we can do a walk-in or need an appointment. They said come today anytime between 8.30am and 3.30pm. Not sure if they take walk-ins all the time.

Thank you! It took about 2 weeks for the process. Ottawa took 5 working days (from the time they received and to the time they sent back according Canada post timelines).

I think, you can expect passport request anytime now. And pre-arrival services letter on GC key account. I got it in a similar way. A ghost update in GC key, then Decision Made on eCAS then pre-arrival services letter in GC key account and passport request all within a couple of hours.

Application status on GC Key account updated to "Approved". I'm assuming they have issued a CoPR which I'm yet to receive by mail.

Good question. I think they will put the COPR with the passport in the Canada post envelope I included with the passport while sending it to Ottawa. That prepaid return envelope has my Canadian address on it. I will update when I hear from them back or when I get her passport from Ottawa. Thanks.

Thank you. At this stage of the process I will wait to see what they say/ask.

I'd say no. As long as there is someone to receive any communication/letters from IRCC on your behalf you should be fine. Imagine you are travelling and on a vacation for a couple of weeks or a month. Would you update your address with the place where you are, you wouldn't, right? In our case...

We only submitted what asked for in the application package online. And the letters, one from my side and another from her side, explaining why we need visit visa. In about 2 weeks after submitting the application online we got the passport request.

There were two options/ways to submit the passport. Either to the local visa office /visa application center or if the person is already in Canada and is going to be here for at least next 3 months then to the CPC - Ottawa. So, I opted the second as my wife is going to be here for the next 3...
