Received confirmation of PR application approved but need to travel outside of Canada in 2 weeks.

By 30 day deadline, I meant the time given to you to respond to the PR confirmation email. Earlier you mentioned that you were given 30 days. In our case, we were asked to respond "as soon as possible" and no specific day limit was given. Are you sure if the concerning IRCC officer will read...

Received confirmation of PR application approved but need to travel outside of Canada in 2 weeks.

Congratulations on the approval! We experienced a similar situation last year. IMO, there are two options: What your consultant suggested. If you can come back within the 30-day deadline, you can reply the email after getting back. Your current status is valid until the COPR is generated...

    Re-entering Canada without visitor visa

Just to correct for any future readers, there's no restriction with flying in such situations as long as the rules are followed.

    Re-entering Canada without visitor visa

Yes, given your visit is only limited to the US and your work permit is valid on the date of entry of Canada. Sources: IRCC FAQ: https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=208 Rule 190 (3)(f) [Division 5] of the IRPR (SOR/2002-227)...

Principal Applicant (Inland) Dependent (Outland) during COVID-19

Sorry, didn't receive any notification for your post. The total cost was around 3,000 CAD, which included the initial consultation, court filing fee, and the lawyer fees for the mandamus application. And, it's typically filed by a Canadian lawyer, but there's no restriction on your residence...

Congratulations on the COPR! Based on the portal photo and address, you will get the PR card or a request to update the photo if the original one has issues. You can link it to Gckey with the details on your COPR.

We emailed to the following (Replace the # symbol with @; my post got flagged earlier): IRCC.ClientPortal-PortailClient.IRCC#cic.gc.ca [since our Primary VO was CPC-Ottawa] IRCC.ClientPortalPrairies-PrairiesClientPortail.IRCC#cic.gc.ca [Calgary office; these people reply pretty quickly!]...

Principal Applicant (Inland) Dependent (Outland) during COVID-19

May not be the best thing to do but you can keep emailing (requesting PPR) at different IRCC offices (Calgary, Ottawa, and any local VO). In our case, whenever we emailed them individually, we received a response for each email, and the PPR was issued by the local VO in a few days after eCoPR...

Not sure if this group is active anymore but still, thanks everybody for all the help! My spouse (PA) and I finally received our PR after 19 months :) Below is the timeline of our struggle to PR: TLDR: Mandamus works! PR received within a month after mandamus. June 2020 – AOR (CEC) – Both PA...

New Instructions from IRCC for applications before 7th Sep 2021

I second it. The agents will either be vague or just tell you what you want to hear, which may not be the truth! I have 4 applications in process and had fair share of data mix-ups by IRCC with my personal information. They say they value the applicants, but the reality is quite the opposite.

New Instructions from IRCC for applications before 7th Sep 2021

From the US. You may use the TextNow app and begin your call at 7:54 ET for it to go through with minimal wait (less than 15 mins). IRCC is being widely criticized for not honoring the FCFS system, unfortunately, they are not answerable to anyone for this mess. People are being approved for...

New Instructions from IRCC for applications before 7th Sep 2021

Applied using GCKey as well as Portal (both after Sep. 7). Crossed 30 business days on both. Still waiting. I believe they just bring in new random policies to calm the applicants. Contacted them multiple times over the last month about the 14-30 day thing, and the agents were confident that...

This definitely helps a lot! Our application has crossed the 16-month mark and has been at Final Decision Pending for 7 months. And the same with the temporary visas: either refused or no progress. Again, thanks for highlighting this option!
