i was here back in 2016-17 asking and giving advice while processing my pr and thanks to all and wish the best for one and all. on September 7 will be 2 years since im a permanent resident. i went from visitor to out of status prior to becoming a pr. so fair to say that no days were counted...

Has anyone who recently became permanent resident travelled to the US. some insight on the forms and procedures to obtain the proper visa

finally got my pr card in mail today! now it's 100% :)

tried that but they are saying i need to come in to the office to fill out some forms so they can follow up with imiigration

tried a few times but always too busy to put me on to an agent

is there a special number for this kind of thing?

i landed since sep 7th 1 day before the deadline for it to arrive in mail they sent me an email saying there was a problem with the pictures so send two more which i did within 48hrs via express/registered mail. landed sep 7th= 6-8 weeks to receive card in mail they said so sep 7 + 56days= nov...

still no pr card in mail :(

cool well i went alone and because i was already there the agent still opened my file etc but give requirements to take to the nearest clsc to complete file. i did that and took everything as instructed but just got mail hydro bill wasnt good so right away i sent a bell bill so im just waiting now

to land, they will email you with the location. and what exactly to bring you would be in and out in 10-15mins as for my timeline jan 2016 applied aor march 2016 did csq summer 2016 march 2017 got sa and aip did medical, pay rfpr in march 2017 had to renew passport so it took few months but ask...

anyone landed in Montreal recently? i landed a month ago, but still haven't receive anything really. i went to service canada and got my permanent sin but that's it! i was told pr card comes in mail 6-8 weeks and ill get health card 2-3 months. however i was told i would receive in mail 2-3...

it's done now though.i took a copy of the csq by mistake instead of the original so i couldnt complete at the office however they still opened the file and told me to bring the original at my closest clsc and finish the application there. i did and now i was told ill receive a letter in the mail...

In life there are always gonna be speed bumps...... before pr we had to wait months to get updates after pr we have to wait hours in line to get medcare. Why is there only one office in Montreal? Anyone knows if they are hiring? Seems like they need workers!!! Been here since 9 :(
